Self-registering as a merchant/agent
When Merchant App is installed on a merchant's smartphone or smart POS device, the merchant can onboard with little to no assistance. Merchant App guides them through a simple sign-up process of supplying the required KYC data according to your configuration. As soon as they finish, they're ready to log in and get started.
Note: The screens in this lesson show a sample sign-up flow. Some steps may differ depending on your configuration, such as which KYC details you request from your customers.
Practising alongside? You'll need the following:
- A smartphone or appropriate POS device
- Merchant App installed
- Access to the system that retrieves one-time PINs (if your mobile network provider doesn't support receiving SMS messages from the e-money system)
Steps
1. On the login screen, select Sign up.
2. Enter your basic personal details and continue.
3. Enter your address and continue.
4. Select security questions and enter your answers, and continue.
5. Select the form of ID you would like to provide.
6. Use your device camera to capture a photo of your ID.
7. Select the option to add your signature.
8. Draw your signature on your device screen and continue.
9. Review and agree to the terms and conditions and continue.
10. Check over and submit your details.
11. Enter the one-time PIN sent to your mobile via SMS.
Note: If your sign-up process is configured not to include setting your own PIN, then you'll also receive a temporary PIN via SMS.
12. The login screen displays. Log in with your mobile number and PIN.
Note: If logging in with a PIN received via SMS, you’ll then be prompted to reset your PIN yourself.
